    Matthew T. Besmer

    Associate

    Matt is an associate attorney and a member of the firm’s litigation department. Before joining Dowling Aaron & Keeler, Matt was a Captain in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps where he prosecuted felony and misdemeanor criminal offenses; represented the U.S. Army in matters including internal government investigations, government ethics, fiscal law, labor law, contract law, and intellectual property law; and he represented hundreds of Soldiers and retirees in civil legal matters including estate planning, consumer law, family law, landlord-tenant law, tax law, and post judgment relief. Prior to joining the Army and while in law school, Matt worked in the complex litigation department of the Office of the Indiana Attorney General where he gained civil litigation experience working on multimillion dollar nonprofit fraud and misuse of asset cases. Matt also has experience as an analyst at a business consulting firm where he worked on debt financing deals and developing restructuring and growth plans for businesses in a variety of industries.
